The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a green process for the preparation of silver nanoparticles using an ethyl acetate extract obtained from the flowers of Clitoria ternatea. The phytochemical-rich extract, comprising naturally occurring flavonoids, anthocyanins, phenolic compounds, and other bioactive constituents, functions as both a reducing and stabilizing agent for the conversion of silver ions into silver nanoparticles. The synthesis is carried out by reacting the ethyl acetate flower extract with an aqueous silver nitrate solution under controlled reaction conditions of silver nitrate concentration, temperature, pH, and reaction time to produce stable phytochemical- capped silver nanoparticles. The synthesized nanoparticles exhibit a characteristic surface plasmon resonance (SPR) absorption peak at approximately 415 nm, an average particle size ranging from about 20 to 75 nm, and a negative zeta potential indicative of colloidal stability. The nanoparticles are further characterized by UV- Visibleible spectroscopy, , Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), and Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC–MS/MS), confirming the presence of phytochemical agents on the nanoparticle surface. The synthesized silver nanoparticles exhibit in vitro acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activity and are useful as a phytochemical-based nano-composition for pharmaceutical and biomedical applications, particularly for compositions intended for the management of neurodegenerative disorders.
