MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641091133 A) filed by Infineal Private Limited on July 27, 2026, for Cloud-Based Ai System For Utc-Based Geo-Fenced Satellite Uplink Modcod Management.
Inventors include Govindassamy, Sivakumar; and B, Hariharan.
The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: A method for controlling uplink MODCOD (Modulation and Coding) schemes in a satellite communication system comprises collecting a plurality of parameters associated with a plurality of ground stations grouped into GEO-fenced regions based on UTC timeslots, determining by a centralized AI engine an uplink MODCOD scheme for each of the plurality of ground stations based on the collected parameters to optimize signal transmission, uploading MODCOD scheme information associated with each GEO-fenced region to a satellite to enable the satellite to apply the corresponding MODCOD scheme for receiving uplink signals, receiving user data by a baseband processing module and utilizing the determined MODCOD scheme to encode the user data and generate IF (Intermediate Frequency) data for transmission to the ground stations, converting at each ground station the IF data from digital to analog RF (Radio Frequency) signal using a thin modem, and uplinking the analog RF signal from the ground stations to the satellite wherein the satellite applies the corresponding MODCOD scheme based on the UTC timeslot.
