Abstract: ABSTRACT CLOUD-NATIVE EXPENSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WITH OCR-BASED RECEIPT SCANNING AND PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS The present invention discloses a cloud-native personal expense management system (100) that integrates optical character recognition based automated receipt scanning, microservices architecture, policy-as-code budget governance, and LSTM-based predictive analytics. The system comprises independently deployable microservices including a User Service (110), Expense Service (120), OCR Service (130), Analytics Service (140), and Budget Service (145) running as Docker containers. An OCR scanning pipeline (150) automates receipt data extraction through image preprocessing, cloud OCR processing, pattern-matching extraction, and confidence-based validation. A policy-as-code budget governance engine (160) proactively evaluates each expense against category-wise budget limits at submission time, generating threshold-based alerts. An LSTM predictive analytics module (170) generates category-wise spending forecasts from historical transaction data. A cost normalization module (180) standardizes data from all sources, and a cost visibility dashboard (190) provides real-time budget visualization. The system applies enterprise FinOps principles to personal finance management. [
