The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: Abstract Disclosed is a standardized phytopharmaceutical composition comprising a leaf extract of Coccinia indica obtained from dried and powdered leaves by solvent extraction using ethanol, petroleum ether, or a combination thereof. The composition comprises a phytochemically active fraction containing at least one of flavonoids, phenolics, glycosides, terpenoids, alkaloids, and saponins. The leaf extract exhibits antioxidant activity and calcium oxalate inhibitory activity. The extract produces concentration-dependent inhibition of calcium oxalate crystallization in an in-vitro turbidimetric assay and promotes dissolution of calcium oxalate deposits in an in-vitro gravimetric assay. The composition may be standardized using phytochemical screening, thin layer chromatography profiling, flavonoid content, phenolic content, nitric oxide scavenging activity, reducing power activity, and lipid peroxidation inhibition activity. The composition is useful for development of herbal antiurolithiatic and antioxidant formulations..
