MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541010315 A) filed by Bharat Electronics Limited on February 07, 2025, for Cold Plate With Intermediate Mounting In Radar Antenna Arrays.

Inventors include Puneet Dadhich; and Huthesh Ds.

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT COLD PLATE WITH INTERMEDIATE MOUNTING IN RADAR ANTENNA ARRAYS The invention features a machined cold plate (100) with horizontal liquid channels (142) for cooling, integrated with side headers (150) formed by side-milled slots and enclosed by welded outer plates (130, 132). An intermediate mounting (108) passes through gaps between the side headers, dividing the cold plate into chambers to reduce cavity plate deformation. A mixing pool (128), machined into at least one outer plate, facilitates fluid communication between adjacent headers while accommodating a mounting fastener. The mixing pool ensures uniform coolant distribution, maintaining a consistent temperature gradient. The side headers support configurable series and parallel liquid flow, optimizing thermal performance and pressure drop. The invention also provides a method for cooling and stabilizing a printed circuit antenna assembly Figure 4 will be the reference.
