The cover is removably affixed to the external surface of the colostomy pouch using an attachment mechanism such as pressure-sensitive adhesive, micro hook-and-loop fasteners, or an elastic sleeve structure. A pull-tab or tear-away extension facilitates clean and hygienic removal after use, enabling convenient disposal. The invention improves user comfort, hygiene, and maintenance efficiency without requiring structural modification to the internal effluent- handling components of the pouch. The assembly is compatible with existing colostomy pouch designs, offering a low-cost, single-use sanitation enhancement.
