Abstract: The present application provides a communication method, which can be applied to an AI-based positioning scenario. In the method, an AI-based positioning model deployed on a location management function network element uses a channel measurement result reported by a channel measurement network element (or a channel feature extracted from a channel measurement result) as an input. The location management function network element determines the reporting granularity of one or more features of at least one path in a channel measurement report according to different positioning precision requirements, and indicates the information of the reporting granularity of the feature to the channel measurement network element, or the channel measurement network element obtains the information of a positioning precision requirement from the location management function network element, and determines the reporting granularity of one or more features of at least one path in the channel measurement report on the basis of the positioning precision requirement and the channel measurement result. Thus, the channel measurement network element can be supported to report, under different channel conditions and/or according to different positioning precision requirements, the channel measurement report carrying the reporting granularities of different features, so as to support the requirement of the channel measurement report conforming to a channel condition.
