Abstract: ABSTRACT COMPACT HIGH-ISOLATION TWO-ELEMENT MIMO ANTENNA SYSTEM WITH TAPERED POLYGONAL SHAPED MONOPOLE FOR ULTRA-SUPER-WIDEBAND MILLIMETER-WAVE COMMUNICATION The present invention discloses a compact high-isolation two-element MIMO antenna system (100) for ultra-super-wideband millimeter-wave communication. The system comprises a dielectric substrate (110), first and second tapered polygonal monopole antenna elements (120, 130), microstrip feed lines (140, 150), and a ground plane assembly (160) with individual ground planes (162, 164) or a common ground plane (166). The antenna elements are orthogonally arranged to achieve polarization diversity and high isolation. Each element is evolved from an elliptical monopole through reshaping including elliptical etching, polygonal tapering, and triangular patch incorporation. The MIMO antenna system achieves an ultra-super-wide impedance bandwidth of 12.15 to 36.10 GHz, isolation exceeding 22.55 dB, envelope correlation coefficient below 0.005, and radiation efficiency exceeding 88 percent, without employing any slots, vias, multilayer substrates, or external decoupling structures. The invention is suitable for 5G millimeter-wave, fixed wireless access, and satellite communication applications. [
