Inventors include Devi Rajeswari V; and Soumik.

The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT COMPUTATIONAL METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING THERAPEUTIC TARGETS AND CANDIDATE COMPOUNDS FOR DIABETIC NEPHROPATHY A computer-implemented method for identifying a therapeutic target and a candidate compound for diabetic nephropathy comprises obtaining gene expression data (100) from a transcriptomic database, ferroptosis-associated gene data (102) from a ferroptosis gene database, disease-associated gene data (104) from a disease gene database, and oxidative stress gene data (106) from an oxidative stress gene database. The method comprises performing an intersection analysis (108) of the gene expression data (100), ferroptosis-associated gene data (102), disease-associated gene data (104), and oxidative stress gene data (106) to identify common genes, constructing a protein-protein interaction network (110), and performing a network topology analysis (112) to identify Histone Deacetylase 1 (HDAC1) as a hub gene. The method comprises obtaining a compound library (114), performing molecular docking (116) against HDAC1 to identify a candidate compound based on binding affinity, and performing a molecular dynamics simulation (118) to evaluate binding stability.
