MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611115693 A) filed by Subhagi Saxena; and Shivani Chaudhry on September 26, 2026, for Computer-Implemented System And Method For Predicting Female Labor Force Participation Using Mediation-Moderation Modeling.

Inventors include Subhagi Saxena; and Shivani Chaudhry.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The invention relates to computer-implemented predictive analytics for labour economics and social-behavioural modelling, and provides a system and method that improve interpretability and statistical rigor in predicting female labor force participation (FLFPR) by jointly estimating direct, mediated, and moderated effects. Individual-level variables including SES, HME, HMI, HMS, GPG_total, FPMCC, FVI, SN_total, SE, PWB_total, education level, and marital status are screened for missing values, reliability, distribution, multicollinearity, and correlation, after which composite constructs are formed and a Generalized Structural Equation Model estimates mediator equations for SE and PWB_total and a Bernoulli-logit outcome equation for FLFPR. Indirect effects are computed by delta-method operations, and interaction effects with education level or marital status are estimated using logistic regression with robust standard errors, thereby generating a prediction with per- variable, per-pathway contribution breakdown for employment participation analysis and decision support.
