Abstract: ABSTRACT Title: COMPUTER VISION-BASED SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATED DETECTION OF 5 REPETITIVE BEHAVIOURS AND STEREOTYPIES IN AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER I 10 15 This invention relates to a computer vision-based system for automated detection of repetitive behaviours and stereotypies in autism spectrum disorder. It typically includes a Video Acquisition Module (1), a Pose Estimation Module (2), a Skeletal Tracking Module (3), a Feature Extraction Module (4), a Machine Learning Module (5), an Explainable Al (XAI) Module (6), an Automated Report Generation Module (7), a Storage Module (8), an User Interface (9), a System Framework (10).This system provides a non-contact, objective, and automated diagnostic platform that enhances clinical accuracy by enabling real-time quantification of repetitive behaviours and continuous longitudinal monitoring without the need for intrusive wearable sensors. This is applicable for objective early screening, real-time diagnostic support, and continuous therapeutic monitoring of autism spectrum disorder, as well as for tracking motor deficits in other conditions such as ADHD, Parkinson’s disease, and stroke rehabilitation.
