MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411103080 A) filed by Birla Institute Of Technology And Science Bits on December 26, 2024, for Conducting Copolymer Fiber And A Method For Synthesis Thereof.

Inventors include Chauhan Rashmi; and Parmekar Nidhi Nitin.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: CONDUCTING COPOLYMER FIBER AND A METHOD FOR SYNTHESIS THEREOF The present invention relates to a novel conducting copolymer fiber and a method for producing fiber that are grafted onto hair through the process of graft copolymerization. In the method involves linking hair with conducting polymers to produce conductive fibers. The conducting copolymer fiber is characterized by exhibiting a tensile strength greater than 100 MPa, and the fibers can extend to lengths of up to 100 centimetres, thus making the fiber for a wide range of applications.
