MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421084444 A) filed by Suryudey Plastic Electronics Private Limited on November 05, 2024, for Conformal Antenna For Helmets And Hemispherical Devices.

Inventors include Ayyappan; and Yash Suresh Goliya.

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT Conformal Antenna for helmets and hemispherical devices The present invention provides a dual-mode, multi-band antenna system (100) for helmets or hemispherical devices, supporting satellite (GNSS) and short-range intercom communication. The system comprises a top-mounted antenna (101) for 1.0–2.6 GHz satellite/GNSS operation and a horizontally oriented array antenna (102) for intercom, conformally integrated and concealed within the device. The antennas are arranged in a circular array for 360° coverage, while metamaterial and reflector layers reduce radiation exposure. The system operates across 1.0–15 GHz with a fractional bandwidth of 50–100%, maintaining stable circular polarization, high gain, and broadband efficiency. The corresponding method (200) comprises: mounting the top antenna (201), mounting the array antenna (202), incorporating metamaterial and reflector layers (203), and conformally integrating both antennas (204), with the elements arranged in a circular array for full 360° coverage.
