MUMBAI, India, July 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641089031 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on July 21, 2026, for Constant On-Time Controlled Dc-Dc Buck Converter With Auxiliary Ripple Injection.

Inventors include Konguvel Elango; and Sivakumar K.

The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT CONSTANT ON-TIME CONTROLLED DC-DC BUCK CONVERTER WITH AUXILIARY RIPPLE INJECTION A constant on-time controlled DC- DC buck converter (100) includes a power stage comprising a main power switch (S1), a synchronous switch (S2), an inductor (L), and an output capacitor (CO). The converter (100) includes an output voltage feedback network configured to sense an output voltage (VO), a comparator configured to compare a feedback voltage with a reference voltage (VREF), and an on-time generator configured to generate a constant on-time pulse for the main power switch (S1). The converter (100) includes an auxiliary ripple generation circuit comprising a single duty-cycle-controlled auxiliary switching device (SA) and a passive RC-based ripple synthesis network having a first resistor (RP1), a second resistor (RP2), and a ripple synthesis capacitor (CP). The auxiliary ripple generation circuit generates a synthesized ripple voltage through alternate charging and discharging of the ripple synthesis capacitor (CP) under control of the auxiliary switching device (SA), and the synthesized ripple voltage is injected into an input of the comparator.
