MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617072128 A) filed by Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. Kg on June 10, 2026, for Construction Kit Consisting Of A Hybrid Module And A Flywheel Which Is Secured Thereto And Which Comprises Flywheel-Side Third Through-Holes, And Powertrain Which Houses Same.

Inventors include Hgel, Christian; Maienschein, Stephan; and Schenck, Kai.

The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: The invention relates to a construction kit (1) consisting of a hybrid module (2), in particular a P2 hybrid module, and a flywheel (3) secured thereto for a (K1) starter clutch (4), said hybrid module (2) having: a damper input component (5), which is designed to be secured to a crankshaft (7) that can be moved by an internal combustion engine and which is connected/can be connected to a torsional vibration damper; and a (K0) separating clutch, which is arranged downstream of the torsional vibration damper in the torque running direction from an internal combustion engine to a transmission and the output part of which is connected to an output hub (9) designed to be secured to a rotor, wherein multiple first through-holes (8) are provided in the damper input component (5) in order to receive crankshaft screws (6), which are designed to secure the damper input component (5) to a component fixed to the crankshaft; multiple second through-holes (10) are provided in the output hub (9), said second through-holes (10) being arranged at a location which is offset to the first through-holes (8) in the axial direction and which allows access to the crankshaft screws (6); and the flywheel (3) has multiple third through-holes (14) which are arranged at an aligned position that is axially offset to the first through-holes (8) in order to allow the crankshaft screws (6), which are to be positioned in the first through-holes (8), to be reached through the flywheel (3). The invention also relates to a powertrain comprising such a construction kit.
