Abstract: ABSTRACT “CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL COMPOSITION COMPRISING FLY ASH AND WASTE ROCKWOOL” The present disclosure relates to a construction material composition (100) for forming a molded building unit (300). The composition (100) comprises fly ash (102), waste rockwool (104) comprising silica-containing constituents, and a binder system (106) comprising at least one of an alkali activator and a cementitious material. The waste rockwool (104) is present in a processed particulate form, a fibrous form, or combinations thereof, and is dispersed with the fly ash (102) and the binder system (106) to form a consolidated matrix (108). The composition (100) may be utilized for manufacturing molded construction articles including bricks, blocks, wall panels, partition structures, and precast building units suitable for construction applications. The consolidated matrix (108) has reduced porosity and improved mechanical strength and thermal and/or acoustic insulation properties. [FIG. 1]
