Abstract: A consumer food safety analysis device, comprising a body 101 constructed of at least three sections, the first and third section comprising a first and a second housing 105, 106, a display unit 107 to facilitate user entry of unique user ID, a motorized ball conveyor 108 to receive packaged food products from intake point and translate products for further operations, a robotic gripper 109 to grip, rotate, and reposition packages for barcode visibility and complete inspection, a scanning unit to capture barcodes, ingredient labels, nutritional tables, expiry dates, and package claims, for extraction of textual and graphical information, a food scoring module to provide a composite food score to a color coded risk indicator and health rating meter to select or reject products, the conveyor 108 translates rejected products into a rejected food storage box 103 and accepted products into a storage unit 104.
