Inventors include Ankitha Machagari; Akankasha Priyadarsini; Rohini Sengupta; and Mr. Sai Prashanth Mallellu.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT CONTEXT-AWARE TOURIST DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR CROWD-AWARE CITY EXPLORATION A context-aware tourist decision support system (100) for enabling crowd-aware and efficient city exploration is disclosed. The system comprises a data acquisition layer (110) for collecting city- specific and user-specific contextual data, a context modeling layer (120) for normalizing multidimensional parameters, a computation index and prediction layer (130) incorporating a Tourist Stress Index module (132), a Crowd Distribution Index module (134), a confusion prediction module (136), and an environmental pressure indicator module (138), a visit optimization engine (140) employing constraint-based scheduling with greedy time-slot allocation, and a recommendation and visualization layer (150) for delivering adaptive, persona-specific travel guidance. The system quantifies tourist discomfort through transport complexity, language barrier, crowd density, and safety risk scores, and generates optimized itineraries that minimize peak-hour exposure and waiting time, thereby enhancing visit time utilization and promoting sustainable urban tourism.
