Abstract: ABSTRACT CONTEXTUAL DEVIATION-BASED ADAPTIVE SMART MIRROR SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENERGY-EFFICIENT AND PRIVACY- PRESERVING INTELLIGENT INTERACTION The present invention relates to a context-adaptive smart mirror device (100), and a method of monitoring, learning, and assisting a user’s daily routine and behavior. The smart mirror device (100) comprises an interactive mirror assembly (102), a plurality of sensors (106) configured to generate multimodal sensor signals, and an edge computing device (104) operatively coupled to the interactive mirror assembly (102). The edge computing device (104) includes a context learning unit (108), a real-time context evaluation unit (112), and a contextual deviation determination unit (116). A power-state control unit (118) selectively transitions the smart mirror device (100) between a sleep state (120), a low-power context monitoring state (122), and an active intelligence state (124) based on comparison of the quantified contextual deviation with an adaptively learned threshold.
