Abstract: Abstract Disclosed is a controlled enteral nutrition delivery system comprising a pump housing defining a tube-receiving path for a feeding tube carrying enteral nutrition. A peristaltic pumping assembly is disposed along the tube-receiving path and comprises a rotating compression member and a tube-support surface for sequentially compressing the feeding tube. A drive motor is coupled with the rotating compression member to produce controlled tube compression. A user interface receives a selected feeding parameter comprising at least one of feed rate, feed quantity, and feed duration. At least one feeding-condition sensor detects a feeding condition during operation. A tube-clamping mechanism is positioned along the tube-receiving path. A controller receives the selected feeding parameter and feeding- condition data, regulates the drive motor, controls advancement of enteral nutrition, compares feeding-condition data with an abnormal-feeding condition, and actuates the tube-clamping mechanism.
