Abstract: ABSTRACT COOLING PAINT COMPOSITION AND THE METHOD OF PREPARATION THEREOF The present disclosure relates to a cooling paint composition. The cooling paint demonstrates significant improvements in thermal management under real environmental conditions. In dry daytime operation, the PCP- C coating achieves a temperature reduction of approximately 6.3°C compared to an uncoated concrete surface due to its high broadband solar reflectance and strong thermal emissivity. When exposed to moisture, the coating activates an additional evaporative cooling mechanism, resulting in a temperature reduction of approximately 12.1°C below ambient during peak solar irradiance (14:00–15:00). Importantly, the paint maintains high wet-state solar reflectance of 85–90% in the visible–NIR region, with only about a 5% reduction compared to the dry state. This stability overcomes the common limitation of conventional porous coatings that lose reflectance when wet due to refractive index matching effects. The present disclosure also relates to a method of preparation for the cooling paint composition. Fig. 1
