MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411102637 A) filed by Lovely Professional University on December 24, 2024, for Cooling Tower System.
Inventor includes Varsha.
The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a cooling tower system (100) for optimizing heat exchange, including a shell structure (110) formed from concrete, wood, or fiberglass, enclosing the internal components. Embodiments may also include a water distribution system (120) at the top of the shell, configured to uniformly disperse hot water over fill material (328) using nozzles or perforated pipes (224). Embodiments may also include fill material (328) with a unique geometric structure to maximize surface area for air-to-water contact, thereby enhancing heat transfer efficiency and reducing water consumption. Embodiments may also include an airflow system (140) including a dual-speed, variable frequency drive (142) (VFD)fan for modulating airflow, or a natural draft system, to facilitate counterflow interaction of air and water. Embodiments may also include a drift eliminator (130) to capture and retain water droplets from outgoing air, reducing water loss and minimizing environmental impact.
