Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to cooperation between devices in rate splitting. A method comprises: at a first apparatus, receiving, from a third apparatus, configuration information indicating a cooperation mode with a second apparatus in decoding data from the third apparatus; decoding, from the received signal, common data and first private data; transmitting, to the third apparatus and based on a result of the decoding, first feedback information for the common data and the first private data; receiving a decoding result of the common data from the second apparatus; in accordance with a determination of a negative acknowledgement, re- decoding at least one of the common data or the first private data based on the received signal and the decoding result of the common data; and transmitting, to the third apparatus, second feedback information for the common data and/or the first private data.
