Inventors include Padhan, Anil Kumar; Singh, Vaishakhi; Ray, Saptarshi; Voolapalli, Ravi Kumar; and N, Chandrasekhar.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an alkali soluble resin (ASR), said resin comprising: a first co-monomer in an amount ranging from 10 to 40 % w/w of the resin; and a second co-monomer in an amount ranging from 10 to 60 % w/w of the resin, said first co-monomer comprising acrylic acid dimer in an amount ranging from 1.5 to 9.0 % w/w of the first co-monomer. The present disclosure also relates to resin fortified emulsion for pressure-sensitive adhesives comprising an ASR in an amount ranging from 5 to 20% w/v of the emulsion; a monomeric system in an amount ranging from 15 to 50% w/v of the emulsion and water, said emulsion being a resin fortified core-shell emulsion. The present disclosure also relates to a method of preparation of a core-shell resin-fortified emulsion for pressure-sensitive adhesives. The prepared emulsions exhibit excellent water resistance, tack and adhesion.
