Abstract: Images of a basket associated with a cross cutter of a corrugated cardboard production line are captured through a video camera. The basket is configured and positioned to collect trimmings of corrugated cardboard cut by means of the cross cutter from a continuous corrugated cardboard that advances along the production line. By processing the captured images, the level of filling of the basket is detected to notify an operator when it is necessary to remove the accumulated trimmings.
