MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411094205 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges on November 30, 2024, for Coupling Jaw Repairing And Testing Device.

Abstract: A coupling jaw repairing and testing device, comprising a platform 101 installed with a motorized chuck via an L-shaped rod 102 accommodates a jaw to be repaired, a touch enabled screen 103 enables a user to give input commands for repairing and testing jaw, an ultrasonic sensor detects diameter of jaw, an imaging unit 104 for detecting damaged teeth of jaw, a first robotic arm 105 with a MIG welding unit 106 for welding damaged teeth, a second robotic arm 107 equipped with a motorized grinder 108 for grinding teeth, a motorized slider 111 for engaging fixed jaw 110 with repaired jaw, a DC motor for rotating fixed jaw 110 along with repaired jaw, a vibration detection sensor detects vibrations induced during rotation of repaired jaw, a telescopically operated gripper 112 positions jaw in proximity to an motorized brush 113 for removing dust from coupling.
