Abstract: This project presents an AI-Based Real-Time Weapon Detection and Alert System aimed at enhancing property security through continuous surveillance and automated response. The system integrates live video feeds from multiple cameras into a unified monitoring framework, eliminating the limitations of traditional passive CCTV systems. By continuously analyzing visual data, the platform enables early idcntification of weapons such as firearms before incidents escalate. Using transparent, rule- based logic combined with suitable computer vision and machine learning techniques, the system identifies the presence of weapons and triggers immediate alerts. An intuitive monitoring dashboard allows authorized users to view live feeds, detection events, and alert history. Automated notifications ensure that both the property owner and the nearest police station are informed instantly when a weapon is detected. By leveraging existing camera infrastructure and avoiding complex or expensive security solutions, the system provides a practical, explainable, and cost-effective approach to crime prevention. This solution strengthens proactive security, reduces response time, and contributes to improved safety for individuals and property.
