MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617060745 A) filed by Sika Technology AG on May 13, 2026, for Curable Polymer Composition Containing Aldehydes, Compounds With Activated Methylene Groups, And An Accelerator Component.
Inventors include Kramer, Andreas; Burckhardt, Urs; Hberle, Hans; and Stadelmann, Ursula.
The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: The invention relates to a curable composition comprising (i) a main component containing at least one compound A with aldehyde groups and at least one compound B with activated methylene groups of formula (I); and (ii) an accelerator component containing at least one accelerator for reacting aldehyde groups with activated methylene groups of formula (I), wherein at least one of the two compounds A and B is a polymer with an average molecular weight Mn of 500 to 20,000 g/mol, and the main component is packaged in a single container separately from the accelerator component and can thus be stored stably. The curable composition can be used without special protective measures, and the main component is storage-stable and cures rapidly and reliably when mixed with the accelerator component so as to form an elastic polymer with high strength, high ductility, and high resistance against heat and water.
