Abstract: The present invention relates to a reusable self-curing composite sheet for curing concrete surfaces with controlled moisture release. The composite sheet comprises an outer-impermeable protective layer, an intermediate moisture retention layer comprising hydrogel or superabsorbent polymer material, and an inner porous concretecontact layer configured to transfer moisture toward a concrete surface during curing. The moisture retention layer absorbs, stores and gradually releases water to maintain a humid curing environment over the concrete surface. The compartmentalized moisture retention structure assists in providing regulated moisture transfer, reducing migration of hydrogel material, and improving substantially uniform moisture distribution during curing of concrete surfaces. The composite sheet further reduces curing water requirement and is reusable over multiple hydration and dehydration cycles.
