Abstract: ABSTRACT Cyclones are among the most destructive natural disasters, causing significant loss of life, property damage, and economic disruption in coastal and low- lying regions. This project presents a Cyclone Early Warning System Using Real-Time Wind Monitoring designed to enhance disaster preparedness through continuous atmospheric data collection and intelligent analysis. The system utilizes real-time wind speed and direction sensors integrated with microcontroller-based processing units to monitor environmental conditions. Data is transmitted to a centralized server or cloud platform for analysis, where predefined thresholds and predictive algorithms identify abnormal wind patterns associated with cyclone formation. The proposed system incorporates IoT technology for remote monitoring, automated alerts, and rapid information dissemination via SMS, mobile applications, and web dashboards. By analyzing sudden increases in wind velocity, pressure variations, and directional shifts, the system can provide early warnings to authorities and vulnerable communities. Integration with meteorological data sources further improves prediction accuracy and reliability. This real-time monitoring approach ensures faster detection, reduced response time, and improved coordination during potential cyclone events. The system is cost-effective, scalable, and suitable for deployment in coastal and disaster-prone regions, contributing to enhanced resilience and effective disaster risk management.
