Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the technical field of communications, and provides a data processing method, a terminal, and a processor readable storage medium. The method comprises: a PDCP entity of a terminal receives a PDCP SDU from a high layer; and when a first condition is met and the PDCP SDU is low priority data, the terminal starts a first timer for the PDCP SDU, wherein the first condition comprises at least one of the following: receiving first instruction information sent by a network device for a first target object, wherein the first instruction information is used for instructing to configure a PDCP SDU priority-based discard or a PSI-based discard for the first target object; receiving second instruction information sent by the network device for a second target object, wherein the second instruction information is used for instructing to activate a PDCP SDU priority-based discard or a PSI-based discard for the second target object; and one or more serving cells which serve the terminal is in a congestion state.
