Abstract: Disclosed in the present application are a data sharing method and a related device. The method comprises: after acquiring data to be transmitted, an electronic device generates a corresponding floating element; upon detecting that a user drags the floating element into a preset hot zone, the electronic device may displays an icon of one or multiple applications which can be used for receiving said data; and then, the electronic device may detect an operation of continuously dragging the floating element to an area where any application icon is located and releasing same, and then sends said data to a corresponding application program. The method provides a convenient, simple, rapid, smooth and visualized data sharing solution for users, thus helping the users share data when needed.
