MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611055585 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University on May 01, 2026, for Ddos Attack Mitigation System For Small Businesses.

Inventors include Fadil Ahmad; and Dr. Ramakant Baghel Arjun.

The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: An affordable DDoS mitigation system for small-business networks is disclosed. A virtual gateway node, deployed on low-cost on- premise or cloud infrastructure, bridges external and internal subnets and runs an open-source IDS/IPS engine in inline mode with custom rules targeting DDoS traffic, such as ICMP ping floods, directed to protected servers while preserving legitimate flows. Architecture-aware automation scripts install and configure the engine with minimal expertise, and validation with synthetic attacks demonstrates that the system maintains service availability and acceptable resource usage on modest hardware.
