Abstract: The invention relates to agricultural image analysis for detecting and classifying citrus plant leaf diseases using deep learning. The problem addressed is the need for a structured computational workflow for analysing citrus disease information and identifying disease types from citrus plant leaves. The invention provides a method including collection of a citrus disease dataset, analysis of disease types, segmentation, feature extraction, classifier implementation, and performance measurement using accuracy and precision. The method enables evaluation of an implemented model for citrus disease detection and classification. The invention is applicable to citrus farms, agricultural advisory systems, horticulture laboratories, research institutions, and computing platforms used for plant disease analysis.
