Abstract: A method for integrated access and backhaul network (IAB) node migration, performed at an IAB donor, comprising: transmitting a configuration message on a source path to a first IAB node via a first distributed unit of the IAB donor, the configuration message comprising a radio resource control (RRC) message providing an uplink (UL) mapping or an Internet Protocol (IP) address for communicating with a target donor; and instructing the first IAB node to deliver, in response to a trigger, the configuration message to a second node. 9. The method of claim 1, in which the trigger comprises a migration of a distributed unit (DU) of the first IAB node, including change of a system information block (SIB) message broadcast by the DU of the first IAB node. 10. The method of claim 1, in which the trigger comprises execution of a security handshake on a target path via a second distributed unit of the first IAB node. 11. The method of claim 10, in which the execution of the security handshake comprises establishment of an F1-C connection or setup of an F1-U data tunnel. 12. The method of claim 1, in which the trigger comprises executing a reconfiguration with synchronization based on the configuration message from or forwarded by the IAB donor. 13. The method of claim 12, in which the executing the reconfiguration with synchronization comprises a handover procedure. 14. An apparatus for wireless communications by an integrated access and backhaul network (IAB) donor, comprising: at least one memory; and at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory, the at least one processor being configured to: transmit a configuration message on a source path to a first IAB node via a first distributed unit of the IAB donor, the configuration message comprising a radio resource control (RRC) message providing an uplink (UL) mapping or an Internet Protocol (IP) address for communicating with a target donor; and instruct the first IAB node to deliver, in response to a trigger, the configuration message to a second node. 15. The apparatus of claim 14, wherein the first IAB node delays a delivery of the configuration message to the second node.
