MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611109578 A) filed by G. L. Bajaj Institute Of Technology And Management on September 12, 2026, for Deployable Field Monitoring And Communication Apparatus For Disaster Response Systems.

Inventors include Dr. Birendra Kumar Saraswat; Dr. Uma Tomer; and Mr. Kashif Naseem.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: Disclosed is a deployable field monitoring and incident-communication apparatus comprising a base enclosure having an anchoring interface, a mast movable between retracted and elevated positions, and a sensor head supported by the mast. The sensor head includes an environmental transducer and a shutter movable between sealed and exposed positions. An antenna carrier supports an antenna and is linked to the mast. A deployment linkage couples mast elevation to opening of the shutter and movement of the antenna away from the base enclosure. An interlock contact assembly is arranged in a signal path between the environmental transducer and a radio coupled to the antenna. The contact assembly closes the signal path only after exposure of the sensor head and displacement of the antenna, thereby preventing transmission until the apparatus reaches a deployed operating condition.
