MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621047469 A) filed by Manoj Kumar Chaudhary; Maroti Gopalrao Jadhav; and Anuja Hanmant Karle on April 14, 2026, for Design, Development And Implementation Of A Real-Time Vehicle Overload Detection Using Arduino Microcontroller System..

Inventors include Manoj Kumar Chaudhary; Maroti Gopalrao Jadhav; and Anuja Hanmant Karle.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a real-time embedded system for detecting and preventing vehicle overloading. The system comprises at least one load sensing unit mounted on a vehicle chassis or cargo platform for generating an electrical signal proportional to an applied load, a signal conditioning module for amplifying and processing the signal, and a microcontroller-based processing unit configured to compare detected load values with a predefined permissible threshold stored in memory. Upon detection of an overload condition, the processing unit generates a control signal to actuate a switching mechanism connected to a vehicle ignition circuit, thereby interrupting engine operation and preventing vehicle movement until the load is reduced within permissible limits. The system further includes a visual display module for real-time load indication and an audible alert mechanism for operator notification. The invention provides an onboard, automated, and cost-effective solution for enforcing load compliance, reducing road infrastructure damage, and enhancing transportation safety without reliance on external monitoring infrastructure
