Abstract: ABSTRACT Detection of memory by thermotropic liquid crystals through dielectric hysteresis is revealed. A thermotropic hydrogen bond liquid crystal series namely Perchloro benzoic acid with alkyl oxy benzoic acid, abbreviated as CIPBAO+nBAO comprising of eight liquid crystals is used for detection of dielectric hysteresis. The molecular structure, synthetic route of eight liquid crystals are disclosed.
