Abstract: Systems for determining a physiological parameter using optical signals from different light sources are disclosed. Such systems may be embodied in a wearable user device, which may include a first light source system configured to transmit a first light source system configured to transmit one or more first optical signals toward the target object, the one or more second optical signals configured to generate one or more acoustic signals from the a target object; a second light source system configured to transmit a second optical signal toward a skin of the user, the skin being proximate to the target object of the user; and a receiver configured to detect a reflection of the second optical signal from the skin of the user during the generation of the one or more acoustic signals, the reflection of the second optical signal indicative of a physiological parameter of the user.
