Abstract: Abstract The present invention relates to an artificial intelligence-assisted transdermal drug delivery platform comprising 3D-printed biodegradable hydrogel microneedles loaded with trimethoprim-containing solid lipid nanoparticles. Machine learning algorithms optimize microneedle geometry, hydrogel composition, nanoparticle characteristics, and drug release profiles based on patient-specific parameters. The microneedles are fabricated using high-resolution additive manufacturing techniques and penetrate the skin painlessly to deliver therapeutic agents in a controlled manner. The biodegradable hydrogel matrix gradually dissolves, releasing trimethoprim-loaded nanoparticles for sustained antimicrobial action. The invention provides improved bioavailability, enhanced patient compliance, personalized therapy, reduced systemic side effects, and scalable manufacturing capabilities for next-generation transdermal antibiotic delivery systems.
