Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a low-carbon footprint bio-based lamp oil composition and method thereof. The composition comprises cold-pressed coconut oil, cold-pressed sesame oil, refined castor oil, beeswax, camphor crystals, lemongrass essential oil, sandalwood essential oil, Tulsi extract, and Vitamin E oil. The synergistic combination provides reduced soot formation, improved combustion efficiency, prolonged burn duration, lower volatile organic compound emissions, and enhanced indoor air quality. The preparation method involves controlled thermal blending, viscosity modification, staged cooling, incorporation of volatile additives, filtration, and protected storage. Experimental validation includes VOC analysis, AQI monitoring, soot quantification, and Taguchi L9 statistical optimization using MINITAB software. The invention provides a renewable, biodegradable, environmentally safe alternative to petroleum-based lamp oils for indoor and religious lighting applications.
