MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202614004729 A) filed by Erbe Elektromedizin Gmbh on January 17, 2026, for Device, Arrangement And Method For Removing Tissue Particles.

Inventors include Frank Straub; Prof. Dr. Nermin Salkic; and Andreas Fech.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: The invention refers to a device (15) for removing tissue particles (P) of a tissue (G) from the tissue surface (GO) or a tissue area close to the surface, particularly with- out causing bleeding. In doing so, tissue particles (P) or cells can be collected, for example for a subsequent tis-sue analysis. For this purpose, the device (15) comprises a head piece (16) that limits an interior space (24) into which a nozzle tube (26) extends. The nozzle tube has mul-tiple nozzle openings (30) arranged adjacent to each other that are orientated toward a head piece opening (25) of the head piece (16). Adjacent to the head piece opening (25) the head piece (16) comprises a contact surface (17) that is configured for being placed on the tissue surface (GO). Via a supply channel (27) pressurized liquid can be fed into the nozzle tube (30) and ejected from the nozzle openings (30) to form compact fluid jets in order to re-move tissue particles (P) when impacting on the tissue surface (GO), which are then present in the interior space (24) of the head piece (16). The interior space (24) is fluidically connected with a suction channel (34). Via the suction channel a suction flow (S) can suck tissue parti-cles out of the interior space (24) and collect them in a particle collection device (35), which can be fluidically connected to the suction channel (34). Such a device (15) can be used to gently remove a tissue sample in form of the tissue particles (P). The device (15) can be used in combination with an endoscope (20). (Figure 4)
