Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a device (100) for continuous drinking water quality monitoring. The device (100) includes an inline housing (102) installed between a water supply pipe and a tap outlet. A micro-turbine (104) disposed within the inline housing (102) converts kinetic energy of flowing water into electrical energy, stored in an energy storage capacitor (106). A multi-parameter sensor array (108) embedded within the inline housing (102) measures electrical conductivity, turbidity, and temperature of the flowing water. A control circuitry (110) receives water quality parameter signals from the sensor array 108 and compares them against a tap- specific baseline profile representing normal water quality behavior at a specific tap location, defined by periodically updated coefficients. Upon detecting deviations from the baseline profile, the control circuitry (110) generates a contamination alert signal transmitted via a wireless communication interface (112) to a centralized monitoring server (114).
