The device (100) comprises a housing (101), a snow intake funnel (102), a primary compression chamber (104A), a first auger (106A), an ultrasonic conditioning module (110), a secondary compression chamber (104B), a second auger (106B), a heating element (114), a controller (116), a pump (120), a regenerative heat exchange conduit (122), a filtration assembly (124), and a storage reservoir (126). The device (100) improves thermal utilization during snow melting operations and reduces energy consumption associated with water production. The device (100) reduces entrapped air within densified snow to improve melting performance and water generation efficiency.
