MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202431032074 A) filed by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited on April 23, 2024, for Device For Precise Alignment Between Multichannel Telemetry Stator And Rotor On A High Speed Traction Motor For Measurement Of Rotor Temperature.

Abstract: The present invention provides a device for the measurement of rotor temperature on a high speed traction motor. The device comprising of a rotor (51) is mounted on a shaft (1), a clamp plate (2) is connected to an end (22) of the shaft (1), an adaptor for telemetry rotor (3) having a front side (19) and a back side (26) wherein the front side (19) of the adaptor for telemetry rotor (3) is connected to a back side (23) of the clamp plate (2), the back side (26) of the adaptor for telemetry rotor (3) is connected to a telemetry rotor (4), an adaptor for telemetry stator (5) having an air inlet duct (33), the air inlet duct (33) is provided to rotatably receive the telemetry rotor (4), a front side (28) of the adaptor for telemetry stator (5) is connected to the back side (23) of the clamp plate (2), a back side (30) of the adaptor for telemetry stator (5) is connected to a telemetry stator (6), an end cap (7) is connected to the back side (30) of the adaptor for telemetry stator (5), a plurality of temperature sensors (49) mounted on the rotor (51), the sensors (49) are configured to measure the temperature of the rotor (51) and are connected with sensor cables to transmit the measured temperature of the rotor (51) to a telemetry system (50), wherein the sensor cables pass through a plurality of channels (16) provided on the rotor (51), wherein a plurality of channels (15) are provided on the telemetry rotor (4) to receive the plurality of sensor cables.
