MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521010185 A) filed by Hemant Ratnakar Bandodkar on February 07, 2025, for Diaminodiphenyl Sulfone Derivative And Thermal Recording Material.
Inventors include Hemant Ratnakar Bandodkar; and Dilip Chandrakant Sawant.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: DIAMINODIPHENYL SULFONE DERIVATIVE AND THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL The present invention provides a Diaminodiphenyl sulfone derivative for preparation of colour producing composition with excellent image preservability. The invention relates to an economical and environmentally friendly process to produce diaminodiphenyl sulfone derivative by reacting 4,4’-diaminodiphenyl sulfone and p-toluenesulfonyl chloride in presence of water-water immiscible organic solvent mixture. The product 4,4’-di(p-toluenesulfonamide) diphenyl sulfone is obtained in high yield and high selectivity is an excellent characteristic as a thermal paper developer in non-phenol category. The recording material in combination with heat sensitive dye such as ODB-2 and sensitizers get excellent performance.
