MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611081019 A) filed by Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College on July 01, 2026, for Diamond-Shaped Dual-Band Antenna Apparatus For C-Band And X-Band Applications And Working Method Thereof.
Inventors include Shailendra Singh Ojha; Neeraj Sharma; and Ankita Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a diamond-shaped dual-band antenna apparatus (100) for C-band and X-band wireless communication, radar, satellite communication, aerospace, and sensing applications. The apparatus (100) comprises a dielectric substrate (30), a microstrip feed line (10), a diamond-ring shaped metallic radiating element (20), a metallic ground plane (40), a plurality of parasitic notch slot perturbations (50), and an SMA coaxial feed port (60). The diamond-ring shaped metallic radiating element (20) enables dual-band operation within frequency ranges of 3.63–4.3 GHz and 9.6–10.3 GHz. The parasitic notch slot perturbations (50) generate an independent X-band resonance while maintaining stable C-band operation. The antenna apparatus (100) provides enhanced gain, improved impedance matching, low reflection loss, symmetric radiation characteristics, and radiation efficiency up to 89%. The apparatus is compact, lightweight, PCB-compatible, and suitable for integration into modern communication, radar, defense, and satellite systems. Accompanied Drawings [Fig. 1-4]
