Abstract: A core network (CN) receives (1280A), from an application server (AS), a User Data Protocol (UDP) packet including (i) a UDP payload and (ii) unencrypted metadata, generates (1281) a Packet Data Unit (PDU) including an outer Internet Protocol (IP) header and the UDP payload, and transmits the PDU to a user equipment (UE) via a radio access network (RAN). To generate the PDU, the CN marks (1281), based on the unencrypted metadata, the PDU by setting a Differentiated Services Code Point (DSCP) field in the outer IP header.
