Abstract: ABSTRACT I The increasing prevalence of respiratory diseases such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and post-COVID pulmonary complications has highlighted the need for accessible, real-time lung function monitoring. This project presents the development of a Digital Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) Spirometer integrated with Internet of Things (loT) technology to enable continuous and remote respiratory health assessment. The device measures key pulmonary parameters such as Forced Vital Capacity (FVC), Forced Expiratory Volume in I second (FEY,), and Peak Expiratory Flow (PEF) using precision airflow sensors and microcontroller-based processing. Through wireless data transmission via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, the recorded metrics are uploaded to a cloud platform, allowing real-time monitoring by healthcare providers. An intuitive mobile or web interface is provided for patients and doctors to track trends and receive alerts. This innovation not only enhances patient engagement and early detection of respiratory decline but also supports telemedicine and remote diagnostics, particularly in underserved or rural regions. The proposed system is cost-effective, portable, and scalable, aiming to bridge the gap between clinical assessment and at-home care.
