Abstract: ABSTRACT DIGITAL TWIN AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ENABLED RECONFIGURABLE INTELLIGENT SURFACE SYSTEM FOR TERAHERTZ WIRELESS IoT NETWORKS The present invention discloses a Digital Twin (DT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) system (100) for optimizing wireless communication in Terahertz (THz) based Internet of Things (IoT) networks. The system comprises a base station unit (110) operating at THz frequencies, a reconfigurable intelligent surface panel (120) with programmable meta-surface elements, a Digital Twin engine (130) for real-time virtual environment modeling and prediction, an AI optimization controller (140) implementing reinforcement learning for joint phase and power optimization, and IoT user devices (150). The Digital Twin engine continuously mirrors the physical wireless environment enabling predictive optimization without reliance on instantaneous Channel State Information. The AI controller learns optimal policies achieving coherent beamforming gain proportional to the square of RIS elements. Experimental results demonstrate significant improvements including SNR gains of 25-32 dB, throughput increases up to 4863%, energy efficiency improvements of approximately 40%, latency reduction of 27%, and near-complete network coverage compared to conventional passive RIS systems.
